Our First Cake!

It's our first cake! Our first official cake!
It was made for a wintery 40th wedding anniversary.
Admittedly, we are a little pleased with how it turned out!

This cake was an 8 inch base with a 3 inch tier, both 3 inches tall.
The cake itself was lemon with lemon filling. Frosted with a buttercream frosting and covered with fondant. The sparkly snowflakes are handmade with royal icing. Each one as individual and unique as a real snowflake! They are a bit more delicate than we anticipated, but they turned out beautiful.

We baked all day yesterday for our second order which is being delivered Christmas Day! We have a custom cupcake order being delivered NYE,another custom cupcake order for January 4th and a new cake order for January 9th! EEEEK! We are just so excited! Very overwhelmed & thankful for the orders and all of the support we are receiving from all of you!
