Sweet day to you all!

Over the past week TLC has been busy baking special order cakes and cupcakes. We had so much fun creating a custom cake for a special surprise party. The fun part was that it was for 2 special ladies so we had 2 separate confections to create. Here is a look at what we did:

Hey, did you miss us???

We had to take a little breather! You all wore us out!

I think we were a little surprised with all of your wonderful orders when we first "opened shop" We didn't expect to be SO busy right off the bat! We worked like busy little kitchen bees, decided that we needed to take a little break...



recharged our batteries, made some lovely plans, did lots of businessy chores and are ready to dive head first into our Valentine orders!

When life gives you lemons...

Make a cake!

A very special thank you to DB, our first REPEAT customer!
This 4 layer lemon cake is layered with a tart lemon filling and lemon buttercream frosting. The cake itself is also frosted with a whole lotta lemon buttercream! It's 8 inches around & 6 inches in height! A big shout out to RK for her help in transporting this precarious cake!

Doesn't this just make you want to have a baby? Ok, ok, how about a cookie?

Here's a peek of what we got up to after the great shopping day we had! These cute little onesies are a custom sugar cookie order for a baby shower this week. The baby shower has a princess theme, hence the sparkly little princess crowns! Oh we had so much fun with these!

SHOPPING!

YESSS! The TLC gals are heading to their favourite baking supply store today! We will try to make it out of there with most of our hard earned bank account intact...however, we fully accept that we may get carried away in the cookie cutter section...how can you not??

And then it's back to the grindstone! Sleeves up, aprons on! We have a few orders on the go for this week; a custom birthday cake, an order of sugar cookies for a baby shower to name a few! Pics of course to follow!
